Nano ch340 diode flaw

When purchasing an Arduino Nano is it highly recommended to get the FT232 chip ones. Being the original it is much more likely to be compatible with your hardware. Also it usually comes with better quality.

If you still get a Nano with the CH340 chip you may find an issue when connecting on USB. It would work from ISP but show lower power when on USB. We have found the fault to come from the Schottky diode just after the USB connector. Best way to solve it is to replace the diode with a mbr0520 sod-123. Or if you can't wait to receive the parts remove the diode with a hot gun and replace with a short circuit.
